Chana chaat is a spicy and tangy potato and chickpea snack. It is super easy to make and is a perfect snack for your tea time!
Potatoes – 6 boiled and cut in cubes
Chickpeas – 800 g
Onions – 1 small (cut in small squares shape)
Tomatoes – 2 (cubes)
Tamarind (imli) Chutney – 1/2 cup
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Salt – as per your taste
Red chilli flakes – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 heaped tsp
Green chillies – 3 to 4 chopped (depending really how spicy you want your chana chaat)
Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
In a bowl, add onions and tomatoes, green chillies and tamarind chutney. Add in the spices, along with lemon juice. Mix well.
Next, add in the Chickpeas and the potatoes. Mix and check the taste, if more salt or spice is needed. Adjust according to your taste buds.
Heat 1 tbsp oil, add a tsp of cumin seeds , let them sizzle and then pour on top of the chaat.
