I love making this dish whenever there is a party at my place. Everyone just loves it! If you are a vegetarian, you can replace the chicken with paneer.
Chicken cubes – 300 grams
Ginger/garlic paste – 1 tbsp
corriander powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala powder – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 2 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Yogurt – 1/2 cup
capsicum – 1 (cut in square shape)
tomatoes – 1 ( square cut)
Tomato Purree – 1/2 cup
Cream – 1/2 cup
Oil – 2 tbsp
Dry Methi leaves- 3 tsp
Ketchup – 2 tsp
Roasted Cumin seeds pwd – 1 tsp
Green chillies chopped – 4
Cloves – 4
Cornflour – 1 tsp ( mix it with 3 tbsp water)
Cinnamon Stick – 1 (1/2 inch)
Black Cardamom – 2
Marinate chicken in the marination ingredients along with the veggies. Marinate for at least 20 mins.
Heat 2 tbsp oil and fry chicken and veggies. Set aside once fried.
Add 2 tbsp oil, once it is hot, add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom. When it starts to sizzle, add the tomato puree and green chilli. Mix well.
Next, add the ketchup, methi, roasted cumin and salt. Mix well and keep stirring.
Now add the cornflour mixture. Cook on medium heat for few minutes.
After that, add in the cream and chicken along with the vegetables.
Lastly, add fresh coriander leaves and 1 tsp of chaat masala.
